New bag! Cute fabric. This is a little round bag. I really don't know my bag styles, so I'm a bit at a loss for descriptions. The construction went well. I really need a zipper foot. Somehow my machine did not come with one.
So when I originally designed the bag I over estimated my need for the center section. It was way to long, but it worked perfect to fold it over and make a few more pockets inside.
I didn't put any hardware in during construction due to not being sure where everything would end up. I actually put the magnetic snap in after I finished the bag and then just hid the hard ware with details. The above picture shows a little key fob loop. It's hiding the back of the closure.
Here is the bow detail hiding the other half of the magnetic closure.
Pockets are always a good idea.
Round sides. I used a plate.
The handle is actually bias tape, stuffed with two interfacings. Worked pretty good.
And there is a ton of room inside when the sides are unfolded.
Criticisms are mostly the straightness of the my top stitching. I used a contrast color (beige) though it's really not that noticeable. I also sewed the different pieces together like a sandwich with lining, interfacing and exterior fabric at the same time. Then covered the raw edges with the contrasting brown bias tape. Worked pretty well.
