Handle, built right in

Once again a bag cut wrong, with fabric too cute to toss, got turned into something I kind of like.

Notice the rounded center, yeah those were supposed to be round sides. Whoopsies!

I've seen some handles like this on a fold-over bag, which I kind of love for it's lines. But I need to work on some better interfacing for rigidity. Maybe boning, or plastic canvas.

It was waay too gape-y to not put in a closure, so I did a last minute magnetic closure and just hid the back in the pocket. This was never going to be sold due to my terrible seam line around the center curved edging, so whatever.

All in all it was a good experiment and good use of what would have been scrapped. I'm still working on the whole gusseted sides and haven't completely worked it out, but I think next go around will be much better.
